Safe Zone Checker
Upload a finished post, story, or reel and check it against Instagram's UI overlay zones.
Upload an image to check it against the Feed (Square) safe zone
Anything in the dimmed area risks being covered by platform UI (titles, captions, buttons, rounded corners). Keep key subjects and text inside the dashed line.
Five formats are covered here, and each carries a completely different overlay risk:
- •Feed posts (square, portrait, landscape) — almost no overlay, just the caption sitting below the image
- •Stories — reply bar and sticker shortcuts stacked directly over the top and bottom of the image
- •Reels — caption, audio credit, and action buttons layered over the frame in a full-screen view
Text or faces placed too close to the top or bottom edge on Stories and Reels specifically tend to get covered once the post is actually live, which is exactly what uploading a finished frame here checks for before publishing.
