Article Checklist
A specific headline, not a vague one
"How to X" beats "Thoughts on X" for a real reason — LinkedIn's article format is competing for attention against much shorter native posts in the same feed, so a vague headline gives someone even less reason to click through to a longer read. Breaking the body into subheadings serves the same purpose it does anywhere else long-form content lives: it lets a skimming reader decide whether to commit before investing the time.
The first two lines carry the same weight as a headline
An article's opening is what shows in a feed preview before anyone clicks through, so a slow, throat-clearing introduction does the same damage here that a weak first line does on a native post — the difference is that a bad opening on an article costs a click, not just a scroll-past.
