The Threads Formatter exists because of one specific behavior: Threads silently collapses a genuinely blank line in a post, so the formatter swaps it for a character Threads treats as content instead, keeping paragraph spacing intact once it's actually posted. That 500-character limit applies to a single post; the Post Checklist and profile preview tools cover the rest of what's specific to publishing here — a hook that works as a standalone opening line, and a profile card built from the picture, bio, and handle you'd actually see on someone's page.
The mockup tools (Fake Post Generator, Thread Screenshot Maker, Quote Post Maker) all render with Threads' own corner rounding, spacing, and type, since a screenshot meant to look real falls apart the moment it looks like a borrowed template. For anyone also publishing the same text on X, the Cross-post Layout Checker previews both cards side by side rather than requiring a separate check on each site.
