Post Image Maker
Build a feed-ready image with a background image and text.
Format
A 1:1 image fills Threads' feed column edge-to-edge with no letterboxing, which is the main reason square tends to be the safer default here over a portrait or landscape crop that Threads has to shrink down to fit the same column width.
Threads posts frequently get reshared as quote posts with someone else's commentary stacked above them, so keeping any text in your image away from the very top edge leaves room for it to stay legible even after it's been requoted and compressed down in someone else's feed.
- •A single bold statement or number tends to hold up better at feed-thumbnail scale than a paragraph of smaller text baked into the graphic.
- •Since Threads posts carry a caption below the image separately, there's rarely a reason to repeat the full caption text inside the image itself — use the image for the single strongest visual idea instead.
