Threads Formatter

Write with blank lines between thoughts — we insert an invisible spacer so Threads doesn't collapse them. Also tracks the 500-character limit.

Why a real blank line disappears

Threads' text renderer treats two consecutive line breaks as one, so a paragraph break you typed collapses the moment the post goes live and everything runs together into a single dense block. The fix here is a zero-width character sandwiched between the two line breaks — invisible on screen, but enough to stop Threads from merging them.

Copy the formatted text below, not what's typed into the box above — the invisible spacer only exists in the output, and pasting the raw input elsewhere collapses the blank lines right back down.

A few things worth knowing before you paste

  • Each blank line gets its own invisible spacer, so stacking two blank lines for extra breathing room between paragraphs preserves both — Threads only collapses lines that are genuinely empty, not lines holding this character.
  • The character counter above tracks what you typed, not the formatted output — the spacer adds one character per blank line once copied, so a draft sitting right at 500 here can run slightly over once it's actually pasted into Threads.
  • A short post with no blank lines at all doesn't need this tool — the spacer trick only matters where an actual paragraph break exists in the draft.
