Pin Template Maker

Build a standard 1000×1500 (2:3) pin with a background image and text overlay.

Format

2:3 is Pinterest's own recommended ratio, and pins outside it get cropped down to fit the grid — a taller image looks intentional in the feed, while a squarer one gets cut at the top or bottom depending on where Pinterest decides to center the crop.

  • Keep any text overlay large and near the top third of the image, where it's least likely to get cropped or covered by the save button Pinterest overlays on hover.
  • Since most pins are first seen as a small scrolling thumbnail, judge the design at roughly a third of its exported size, not just full-screen while building it.
  • A single strong image with minimal overlay text tends to hold up across more contexts than a design packed with several smaller text blocks competing for attention.
